Sasha Calle not only landed her first film role. In "The Flash" she also slips into Supergirl's costume.
The DC Universe welcomes a new superhero in its ranks: Sasha Calle (22) slips into the iconic Supergirl costume. She will have her first appearance in the upcoming movie "The Flash" at the side of Ezra Miller (28), who embodies the title hero like in "Justice League". Director Andrés Muschietti (47) got the good news from the US actress personally in a video call. Calle burst into tears with joy.
The role of Supergirl is a milestone for the 22-year-old. In the USA she is mainly known from the daily soap "Shadows of Passion", in which she has played a cook and business owner since 2018. "The Flash" marks her first cinema project.
This is the main cast
Alongside Calle and Miller, Michael Keaton (69) and Ben Affleck (48, "Gone Girl") will join the main cast. Both will be seen in "The Flash" as Batman and will probably come from different time levels. Keaton played Batman in the 1989 and 1992 Tim Burton films. Affleck played the Dark Knight in "Batman v Superman" and "Justice League" and also made a brief appearance in "Suicide Squad".
In the upcoming movie, "The Flash" takes a trip into the past that is supposed to fundamentally change the present. Further details are not yet known. The film is announced for November 2022.
