A few hours before its formalization, the technical sheet of the Xiaomi Book Air 13 ultrabook is made known.

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will use its Redmi Note 12 series smartphone launch event, scheduled for October 27, to also unveil a new laptop.

An Intel CPU for performance

And there is no need to wait for the conference to know the technical specifications of this device, since they were revealed in advance by the Chinese online retailer JD.com.

The Xiaomi Book Air 13 is an ultrabook with a depth of only 12 mm and a weight of 1.2 kg. The terminal, powered by Windows, is intended to be easily transportable and is positioned opposite Apple’s MacBook Air.

But unlike the latest model from the Apple brand, Xiaomi remains faithful to the x86 architecture on this product. It embeds an Intel processor of 12e generation, Core-i5 or Core-i7 depending on the configuration chosen, belonging to the U range dedicated to energy efficiency and autonomy.

An OLED screen with a nice resolution

In this regard, moreover, Xiaomi has planned to incorporate a 58.3 Wh battery, powered by a charging block with a power of 65 W. We also find 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of storage space. SSD storage.

The 13.3-inch OLED touch screen displays a definition of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, which is a very high density for a panel of this size, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, all for a ratio of 16: 10 designed for productivity. Wireless connectivity is supported by Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 standards, while connectivity consists of two Thunderbolt ports, the exact standard of which is still unknown.

The price and release date of the Xiaomi Book Air 13 are expected to be announced on the 27th for the Chinese market, with likely availability in Europe in the coming months.
