The Galaxy A line accounted for 58% of Samsung’s sales in 2021

The new Samsung Galaxy S22 may be widely talked about, but it is the A range that is the most important for the South Korean. This is what we can deduce from a recent study by the analysis firm Counterpoint Research, which explains that this family represented 58% of the firm’s smartphone sales in 2021.

To be more specific, the A line accounted for 56% of Samsung’s sales in the first quarter, 60% in the second, 57% in the third and 59% in the last. It is therefore essential to remain the world leader. Liz Lee, analyst at Counterpoint, confirms: “The mid-range A-series has been the main workhorse of Samsung’s smartphone catalog over the past few years. […] These devices have attracted interest in many markets such as North America, but also Eastern and Western Europe.”

Strategic A range

Within this range, the Galaxy A31 and A32 have obviously been very successful. We therefore understand why the firm seems to have put the small dishes in the big ones for their expected successor. It should also be remembered that the Galaxy A12 is the best-selling Android smartphone of 2021 behind five Apple references, representing 2% of all smartphones sold worldwide. No other device stamped Samsung was part of this top 10, which proves that the company is heckled by many competitors.

The firm will present tomorrow (03/17/2022) its new mid-range models. See you at 3 p.m. on the brand’s social networks and in our columns.
