Sonic Superstars, first unveiled during Summer Game Fest 2023, once again showed its best side during the Nintendo Direct.

After this moderately appreciated title, the blue hedgehog still wants to strike a blow in 2023 with Sonic Superstars. The game announced during Summer Game Fest 2023 made a new appearance during the Nintendo Direct broadcast this June 21.
Sonic Superstars is still so enticing
Sonic Superstars had caused a sensation for its first presentation a few days ago, on the occasion of the launch conference of the Summer Game Fest 2023. Above all, he cheered up some fans, because even if Sonic Frontiers had pleased some, some of the players found it difficult to ignore their nostalgia for the games sonic in 2D from the great era. With Sonic Superstars, they are clearly satisfied, even if the title chooses 2.5D. During the Nintendo Direct, the game developed by Arzest showed itself once again, confirming the good impressions made to the fans some time earlier. A brand new trailer that highlights local cooperation up to four in the story mode and the possibility of playing as Tails, Knuckles and Amy in addition to Sonic. Players will even be able to compete online up to eight in a mini-game that has not yet been revealed. It was also an opportunity to see the game run in its Nintendo Switch version, which unsurprisingly will come at the cost of some sacrifices on the graphics.
The episode of reconciliation between SEGA and the fans?
In Sonic Superstars, the blue hedgehog and his friends will travel Northstar Islands to thwart the plans of Dr. Eggman, Fang and an all new armored enemy. The three antagonists are particularly ill-intentioned, as they seek to turn the islands’ giant animals into Badniks. To face them, Sonic and his friends will be able to use the Emerald Powers, which allow “clone yourself, climb waterfalls, shapeshift, and more“. Sonic Superstars therefore marks a return to basics for the saga, which should attract many curious people when it is released this fall on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
