In a recent update, the Play Store gained a very practical feature boosted with artificial intelligence. This allows you to obtain a brief summary of the functions of an application without having to read the text written by the developers. Something to save time when you don’t know exactly what to look for.
Most of the time, we go to the Play Store with a specific objective. We heard about an application that we want to try and we go directly to its page to download it. But sometimes we don’t particularly know what we’re looking for, or we browse categories looking for something new. You then have to go through the long descriptions written by the developers, often coated in marketing speech which does not necessarily help to get a good idea of the application.
A problem that Google has resolved in the latest update of its store. For several weeks, the firm has been testing a functionality which allows, thanks to artificial intelligence, to summarize application descriptions in a few key points. It appears that this feature is now rolling out to all users.

No more wasting time reading app descriptions on the Play Store
From now on, when you go to an application page, a new box called Highlights ” propose “get details about this app summarized by Google AI”. By clicking on the button Display, a bulleted list appears and indicates all the features offered by the application, accompanied by a short explanatory sentence. All information is obtained from the section About this app.
We have not yet received the update from the Phonandroid editorial staff. As is often the case, it seems that the deployment is taking place gradually among users. Once received, it will save some time for all those who are undecided who prefer to compare applications before making their final choice.
