The Last of Us: a release in 2022 for the series? HBO drops the ax

The filming of the series The Last of Us debuted in 2021, with a cast that has grown over the months. Nick Offerman and Storm Reid have also recently joined the cast, and for good reason: production is still underway in Canada. So if some were hoping for the first episodes to be broadcast by the end of 2022 on HBOyou will have to put your expectations in the closet.

In an interview with Deadlinethe Chief Content Officer of the private channel Casey Bloys claimed that the series TLOU will not not available in 2022 and currently aiming for arrival in 2023.

It won’t air in 2022 – they’re still filming in Canada. I imagine you’ll see it in 23. I’ve seen a few early episodes and I’m very excited. Craig [Mazin] did Chernobyl for us, he’s a fantastic writer and director. What I saw looks amazing so I’m excited for it but it won’t be in 22.

At least it’s clear, and it avoids false hopes. Until then, this leaves you plenty of time to do or redo The Last of Us Part IIavailable from €22.51 on Amazon.co.uk.
