The “NEON” magazine, launched in 2012 by the Prisma Media group, will end its paper distribution, after the publication of a final issue of the bimonthly on December 8th. The leading magazine press group in France explains that it wants to accelerate the digital transition of several of its titles.

The paper version stops. After nine years of publication and 85 issues, the magazine NEON, published by the Prisma Médias group, will no longer appear on newsstands in 2022. Its final paper issue, the 85th, will be available from December 8. Launched with some success in March 2012, the bimonthly magazine moved to a monthly periodicity in July 2013, before returning to a bimonthly periodicity in March 2018, faced with the erosion of its sales. In 2022, the media brand NEON will only be available on the web.

Transition to digital

This change is presented by the Prisma group as a desire to accelerate its transition to digital. Another magazine of the press group will experience a change in publication: Management magazine. The monthly will switch to a bimonthly publication rhythm.

The magazine NEONwhich was aimed at an audience of 25-35 year olds who were often not very fond of the paper press, was a French version of the NEON German. His first cousin, born in 2003, disappeared in 2018.
