OM System’s first camera

Busy weeks ahead for the Micro 4/3 world. On February 15, 2022, OM System (formerly Olympus) will unveil its first mirrorless camera in its own name. A countdown has been launched on the manufacturer’s website. To date, we do not know to which range the device belongs: OM-D E-M1 Mark IV or OM-D E-M5 Mark V? Still a little patience…

The Lumix GH6, finally

Seven days later, it will be Panasonic’s turn to officially launch a device for the Micro 4/3 mount. No surprise here on the product, since it is the long-awaited Lumix GH6. Stealthily announced in May 2021 for a release scheduled for the end of 2021 then postponed to 2022, the flagship hybrid will finally hit the market on February 22. Another countdown has been initiated on YouTube. Despite the long months of waiting, little information has leaked out about the device; we just know that it will be equipped with a new sensor and we are entitled to hope that the 20 megapixel barrier will finally fall for 4/3 sensors.
