“The most unbearable sequel”, “a peak of the franchise”: Saw 10 will surprise you according to the first reviews

Expected in our theaters on October 25, “Saw X” is released this Friday, September 29 in the United States. And the first opinions are positive.

The game will start again. And it’s even imminent for American spectators, since Saw sequel located between the first two opuses of the horrific saga.

If the quality had deteriorated from film to film, this standard-bearer of torture porn retained a fan base, even if the critical and public failure of Spiral, the reboot attempt carried by Chris Rock, had led people to believe that the franchise was now a thing of the past.

But we have to believe not, if we trust the reviews published across the Atlantic. It has of course happened that some people are more excited than reason about recent blockbusters, but Saw were not entitled to the same degree of indulgence. And it’s an understatement to say that their positive feedback is very intriguing.

(“By returning to the past, Saw . Not everything works, but it’s the strongest sequel yet.”)

(“Saw Punisher of the horror genre. I hope the franchise continues from this point.”)

The Hollywood Reporter : “Nothing would work as well without [Tobin] Bell, whose raspy voice and menacing gravitas are so captivating that he makes Jigsaw’s gimmick “We’re going to play a game” incredibly creepy. He really made the character iconic, a bit like Robert Englund with Freddy Kruger.”

John Kramer is the Punisher of the horror genre

The Independent : “After ten films, we are in a routine that is so intimately familiar to us that it would be difficult to call any of the elements of Saw Kevin Greutert, who is making his comeback, knows how to please his audience: a few buckets of blood and this sound of broken bones that takes our breath away. Here they will have exactly what they want.”

(“Initially adhering to a different structure than what we’re used to, Saw we wait with twisted and painful traps.”)

Bloody Disgusting : “Saw same things, which injects a little new blood.”

The most unbearable and breathtaking Saw sequel to date

IndieWire : “People need to stop looking for John Kramer… After a decade as the most exciting Halloween release, Saw is finally back this October to tell Taylor Swift that she’s not the one alone doing vigilante stuff. Congratulations Tobin. You deserve this one… The most excruciating and heart-stopping Saw sequel to date.”

To find out for sure (hopefully it’s a good fit, because the film will be banned for those under 16), see you in French theaters from October 25.
