The information concerning the Nothing Phone (2) is always more numerous and sometimes contradictory. The Nothing Phone 1 stands out, and made a very good impression on us. His successor is obviously eagerly awaited. Indeed, since its creation, Nothing has taken the habit of shaking up the codes with products with an innovative design. Rumor has it that the Nothing Phone 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and will have a AMOLED display 6.67-inch Full HD+.

Faced with the proliferation of sometimes eccentric information about his next smartphone, Carl Pei wanted to set the record straight on Twitter. On the social network, we thus learn that if the design of the Nothing Phone (2) will be strongly inspired by its predecessor, its designers have also imposed a very strict specifications concerning its carbon footprint. According to figures shared by the company, the manufacture and use of the Nothing Phone (2) will emit approximately 10% less greenhouse gases than its predecessor.

The Nothing Phone (2) will be much more durable

According to the company’s executives, this will simply make it “one of the most durable smartphones on the market”. While the Nothing Phone 1’s carbon footprint was 58.45 kg of CO2, the Nothing Phone (2) will release only 53.45 kg of CO2. As the tweet points out, it’s a great achievement “considering the overall increase in performance, including the 200mAh increase in battery and a 0.15-inch larger screen.”

The components used also testify to the concern of Carl Pei and his associates. Indeed, the Nothing Phone (2) will consist of “ 3 times more recycled or biosourced parts than Phone (1). 100% recycled tin on 9 ICs, 100% recycled copper foil on the PCB, and over 90% recycled steel for all 28 stamping parts. With 80% of plastic parts sourced sustainably “. We will of course keep you informed if other information reaches us about this smartphone which promises to be amazing in more ways than one.
