Nothing has just confirmed the launch date of the Nothing 2a, the affordable version of its latest smartphone. The manufacturer has given us an appointment on March 5, but only for an early release. Indeed, like the Nothing Phone (1) before it, only a handful of users registered in the beta program will be able to receive the smartphone.
All that was missing was confirmation from Nothing. An indiscretion had already allowed us to learn that the Nothing Phone (2a), the manufacturer’s next smartphone, should show up at the Mobile World Congress on February 27. The firm has today made its launch date official. The first users will therefore receive it on March 5. Be careful though, this doesn’t mean that everyone will be able to get their hands on it on the same date.
Indeed, the smartphone will, initially at least, only be available via the Nothing developer program. A strategy similar to that adopted for the Nothing Phone (1), which was first launched to a handful of users before its official global release. Also, we expect that the manufacturer will indeed present a preview of its next smartphone at MWC, before having it tested by a few chosen ones in the process.

No details, however, on the actual release date of the Nothing Phone (2a). For this, we will probably have to wait a few more weeks, at the earliest the MWC which will perhaps be an opportunity for the manufacturer to say more on this subject. One thing is certain however, this early release will be an opportunity to confirm the design and technical sheet of the smartphone, which have already leaked several times in recent months.
We should thus find a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120 Hz screen, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor. For the design, it would be a simplified version of the Nothing Phone (2), with the same transparent shell, but fewer LEDs on the back. The photo module would be made up of two sensors positioned horizontally, like two eyes. Finally, regarding the price, it seems that it is set below €400.
