A sad anniversary… Wednesday March 2, 2022, Jean-Pierre Pernaut died at the age of 71 from lung cancer. On the second anniversary of his disappearance, his daughter, Lou, paid tribute to him on Instagram. “And yes already 2 years! The first year was difficult, because it was the first time without him, this year, we had to understand the phrase: you have to get used to it. You have to get used to living without your father, to living with this lack and learning to continue to grow with it, to become an adult…”, she wrote in the caption of photos where she appears alongside the journalist. If for those around her, time has passed, Nathalie Marquay’s daughter assured that for her “the pain remains the same, and the lack is more and more. With emotion, Lou Pernaut also wanted to thank her friends, whom she loves “more than anything”to accompany her, to change her mind, to make her laugh, but also to help her see life in color.

Lou Pernaut: “Two years since this incredible man left our lives”

If Tom Pernaut’s sister regrets not having been able to spend more time with her father, she also confided that she would have liked him to see her evolve. This year I finished my studies, found my first real job, moved, adopted a second cat and my father didn’t have the opportunity to see all these accomplishmentsshe shared, before adding: “Some will say that there are several phases in mourning: denial, anger then acceptance, but for me not at all. We never really realize ourselves, because death remains a hyper abstract subject, a kind of mystery that no one will be able to understand”. To conclude, it was with emotion that Lou Pernaut wrote: “It’s been two years since this incredible man left our lives. Two years since this incredible dad, husband, grandfather, friend joined the world of angels, but his soul is always close to us, I am convinced. I love you dad !” A true declaration of love which touched the hearts of Internet users, many of whom brought him comfort in the comments section. “You have all my courage Lou, he will forever be with you in your heart”we can read.
