An unexpected return to television! From this Monday, April 1, 2024, W9 viewers will find Pascal Soetens in a new reality show: The Power. If the former star of Pascal the big brother had fun on the set of this one, she experienced a drama at the same time. During the show’s press conference on March 12, he revealed that he had lost three family members during filming : his godmother, his uncle and his cousin. “The house caught fire and they died in their house. I received a phone call, a message and a photo. My brother called me and told me what happened. I’m falling apart“, he recalled. If he was in Spain for the filming of The Power, he insisted on being present at the funeral.
“I’m going to see the nanny. I explain to her what’s happening to me. I had to deal with the drama, the young people who are screwing up**, and the game. I had a lot of pressure”he indicated, before specifying: “They let me go away from Malaga to go to Oise where I live. They were great with me telling me to do my adventure and they would handle the rest.”. Thursday February 29, 2024, on the set of the show Chez Jordan, on C8, Pascal Soetens had already spoken about the drama with emotion: “I wanted to pay tribute, if you allow me, to Françoise my godmother, my uncle Maurice and my cousin Michaël who left not very long ago in a terrible tragedy. Fire in their house. I have a strong thought of Sébastien and Sandra, my remaining cousins. It was just before Christmas. Very difficult…really“.
Pascal Soetens: “He was on fire”
With tears in her eyes, the television star confided: “It caught fire on the ground floor, it went upstairs and they couldn’t get out. I learned that my uncle managed to get out through the skylight, he was in flames. And he was died in the ambulance. Qhen I hear that, I see the scene. We have a strong thought for them“. Upset, Pascal Soetens added: “It came from an electrical problem. It was at 4:30 a.m. The neighbor heard someone screaming, she went out and saw the house on fire“.
