We now know the price of GTA V on PS5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. Rockstar Games has opted for the complication: players will pay less if they buy it quickly. And Xbox gamers will pay more than PlayStation gamers.
From March 15, it will be possible to (re)discover GTA V on PS5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, thanks to yet another port of the cult game that has sold more than 150 million copies. If Rockstar Games had taken care to detail the technical developments to expect, there was still one piece of information to discover: the price. Pre-orders have been launched and it is now known. Or rather, they are now known.
Because the price list for new versions of GTA V is complicated. What to remember: it will be better to acquire the game very quickly to take advantage of a reduction that can climb up to 75% depending on the platform, while Xbox owners will pay more for a few weeks.
GTA V will be €9.99 on PS5 until June
The best deal is therefore on PlayStation 5, where the bundle GTA V + GTA Online will be offered at €9.99 until June 14. After this date, it will drop to €39.99. It will also be possible to recover GTA Online for free, still until June 14 (it will be € 19.99 thereafter).
On Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, the temporary discount will be lower: the bundle GTA V + GTA Online will be at €19.99 until June 14 (€39.99 thereafter, i.e. -50%). GTA Online will not be free either: €9.99 until June 14, then €19.99. In short, Xbox players are a little shortchanged.

Will there be a free or paid upgrade if I already own a PS4 or Xbox One version of GTA V ? The answer is no: you will have to buy the game again, and it may be the third time if you had already fallen for GTA V on PS3 or Xbox 360 when it launched in 2013. Under these conditions, it is easier to sell millions of copies each year.
