Queen Elizabeth II’s friend was also the wife of Major Sir David Butter with whom she had five children. Lady Myra was also very close to Prince Philip and had supported the sovereign after the death of the latter. “No one, for me, could have done this job. Nobody. He was dedicated to this task and very intelligent” had confided the friend of Elizabeth II about the father of Prince Charles. She also testified to the “incalculable” pain and suffering of the sovereign after the disappearance of his life partner.

After 73 years of marriage, the queen finds herself alone, without her partner, the man of her life. These last few years have therefore not been easy for the sovereign who celebrated her 70th anniversary of reign a few weeks ago. At 96, she gave her people some scares, especially before her jubilee. Very tired, she had canceled several trips. Today, she seems to be doing better and her state of health is less worrying.
