As with Netflix and Disney+, Amazon Prime Video is having one of its best months (by far). A few days ago, the SVOD service pulled out all the stops with the addition of the Robocop trilogy. If there is debate about the quality of the two sequels, the first film is simply cult. An essential SF work that we owe to Dutch director Paul Verhoeven (Total Recall, Basic Instinct…). The siblings Claire and Chris Redfield, Leon S Kennedy, Jill Valentine and Rebecca Chambers, that tells you something ? The protagonists of RE’s horror franchise are in the cast of the latest Resident Evil animated film Death Island. If you like clinical atmospheres and thrillers, don’t miss Millennium: The Men Who Didn’t Like Women by David Fincher.
For week 49, Prime Video is also planning the return of a character loved by everyone: The Dark Knight. This dear Batou returns for an animated feature film, Merry Little Batman, which may confuse some. Damian Wayne, Bruce’s son, is ready to take over from his father to fight crime in Gotham and give the Joker a bad Christmas. It will be available on December 8. The Prime Video series of the week with an iconic TV show (S49)
The Prime Video series for December 2023 are not left out with the addition of Community. A very popular, even cult, American sitcom, appreciated by millions of fans around the world for its humor and its numerous pop culture references. The series multiplies the nods to monuments such as The Godfather, Aliens, Night of the Living Dead, Back to the Future and many others. The entire show is available now.
For the week of December 4 to 10, 2023, Prime Video subscribers will also be able to resume season 7 of Rick and Morty with the release of episode 8. “Rick Sanchez, an alcoholic scientist and genius inventor, takes his shy 14-year-old grandson Morty Smith on all kinds of cosmic and interdimensional adventures. Meanwhile Summer, Morty’s big sister, is focused on her teenage concerns while their parents Beth, a horse surgeon, and Jerry, a naive and fearful man, try to resolve their relationship problems.. Documentaries and broadcasts (S49)
Unlike last week, there will be many new Prime Video features in the documentaries and shows section. But it will only be sport. On December 6, Ligue 1 Uber Eats Pass holders will be able to watch the match between Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais from their sofa. A few days later, subscribers will also be able to see the 58e edition of the Alpine Skiing World Cup which will begin with the men.
