The right to disconnect abused since the crisis


DECRYPTION – While many companies are doubling their vigilance, certain practices remain difficult to correct.

Choosing the right time to reach an employee, and avoiding sending them messages outside working hours, are some good practices required under the right to disconnect, introduced by the labor law, since 1er January 2017.

Provisions aim to prevent psychosocial risks and ensure the quality of life at work. But they have been undermined since the health crisis imposed the use of high-dose telework. The increase in the time spent in front of screens has had significant repercussions on the mental health of the French.
