While four miners are missing following a tragic landslide, Princess Disa, wife of Durin IV, makes the walls of the rock vibrate by performing a song to beg the mountain to free the victims.
A serious and deep sequence which seems to have left an unforgettable memory to the whole team of the series. Indeed, as revealed by actress Sophia Nomvete to our colleagues from Sensacinshe had made sure that no one heard her performance before D-Day:
“With the composers and their teams, we made sure that no one had heard this song before [le jour du tournage]“explained the interpreter of Disa.

“Some of what you see on screen is a live performance, we’ve made sure no one has heard it before. The energy of all these people who are seeing this for the first time, or performing this for the first time… I almost lost consciousness all day. It was like a connection between me and my know-how that will stay with me for a long time.”
During this intense and passionate sequence, Sophia Nomvete was able to use her talent for singing within the plot. An experience she describes as unforgettable:
“That was one of my favorite moments from the whole filming of Season 1. It transported me somewhere else for a moment, something happened inside of me that I will treasure for the rest of my days”she said.
“It was about emancipation, going to draw something from the depths of my soul using my voice, which I love to do since I have a background as a singer. The fact of being able to use this gift in a very spiritual way impacted deep within me, as a person and as an actor.”
