The RN will not vote the motion of censure of the Insoumis against the government

Elisabeth Borne’s general policy statement will take place on Wednesday afternoon, without soliciting the confidence of deputies, but with a motion of censure tabled by the Insoumis. A motion that the National Rally group will not vote for. For the 89 RN deputies, the priority is the purchasing power of the French, not the blocking of institutions.

While Elisabeth Borne is due to make her general policy statement on Wednesday afternoon, La France insoumise and Nupes announced on Tuesday that they were filing a motion of censure. An approach that the National Rally will not support. For the deputy from the North, Sébastien Chenu, the RN does not want to play political politics and prefers to focus on the difficult end of the month for the French: “We consider that the priority is the purchasing power of the French. We do not want to waste time with political politics, political artifacts, with the desire to seize the machine”, he assures.

“On the contrary, we want the machine to get going quickly to talk about the purchasing power of the French. Emmanuel Macron has been President of the Republic twice, nothing has happened for two months”, says Sébastien Chenu again.

The RN wants to be constructive

Since their election, the 89 deputies of the National Rally group have been seeking respectability and wish to be constructive. They regularly attack the Insoumis and the Nupes on the way they behave in the hemicycle. Out of the question for them, therefore, to join a motion of censure tabled by LFI.

Symbol of this priority given to purchasing power in the RN, and of this desire to play the good students, they have already asked for the creation of a parliamentary commission of inquiry into the real causes of inflation and the potential “profiteers” of the crisis. Difficult to make more consensual.
