The Rolling Stones are reportedly planning to pay their respects to late band member Charlie Watts during their tour on stage.

The Rolling Stones “will pay tribute to Charlie Watts on stage as they continue their tour next month”. This is what “The Sun” reports citing a source not named. The British musician died on Tuesday at the age of 80.

Performs on September 26th in St. Louis

The remaining members of the cult band – Mick Jagger (78), Keith Richards (77) and Ronnie Wood (74) – are devastated, it is said. The tour should still be continued. “He was like a brother to them, but they know he would have hated the thought of them canceling the shows,” the source said. Accordingly, the “No Filter” tour is scheduled to continue on September 26th in St. Louis, Missouri.

It wasn’t until the beginning of August that the Stones had on twitter announced that Watts will not be part of the autumn tour for health reasons.

The drummer’s death was announced on Tuesday, in a statement it saidCharlie Watts “died peacefully in the hospital, surrounded by his family”.

Watts joined the then young band in 1963 after meeting Jagger, Richards and Brian Jones (1942-1969) while playing in rhythm and blues clubs. He appeared on all of the band’s studio albums and was considered one of the best drummers of all time.
