Four years after its previous model, Samsung plans to return in force to the connected bracelet market with the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3. Numerous leaks show us the new features brought by the manufacturer to its future device.

It has already been four years since Samsung presented its latest connected bracelet, the Galaxy Fit 2. Since that date, the Korean brand has preferred to invest more in the connected watch sector with its Galaxy Watch range to directly compete with Apple and its Apple Watches on this rapidly growing market. However, rumors have been buzzing for several months now of a return from Samsung with a new connected bracelet. Today, leaked documents on the web recovered by the website The Tech Lookout confirm these rumors and give us a very complete overview of the Galaxy Fit 3, a new model that seems very different from the two previous iterations.

An aluminum bracelet, wider and more premium

The Galaxy Fit 3 stands out from its big brothers first and foremost in terms of design. Exit the plastic that covered the previous bracelets; Samsung has chosen for this new model an aluminum case, more elegant on the wrist. Three colors would be offered for release: gray, silver and a pink model.

The weight of the object would be slightly greater, with 36.8 grams on the scale, but also less thick, at 9.9 mm compared to 11.1 mm for the previous version. A control button would also appear, in addition to the touch screen to navigate the interfaces.

The screen, AMOLED, will also be larger, with the adoption of a 1.6-inch panel, and resolution 256 x 402 pixels, with a pixel density of 302 ppi.

The device would finally still be waterproof up to 50 meters deep and IP68 certified. The autonomy is announced at 13 days on a charge, with a battery with a capacity of 208 mAh.

New capabilities for sports tracking and sleep analysis

The new features of the Galaxy Fit 3 don’t just stop at aesthetics. The manufacturer has integrated two new sensors into its connected bracelet, namely a barometer and a light sensor.

In the documents that have leaked in recent days, the brand also emphasizes the new software capabilities, with more than 100 sports activities tracked, and six detected automatically, without the need to activate them in the interfaces.

The Samsung Galaxy Fit would also offer more precise sleep tracking with blood oxygenation rate measurement, as well as health features, such as fall detection and emergency call by clicking the control button five times .

For the moment, neither the price nor the release date of the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 have been revealed, but according to its official documents, it is only a matter of weeks before we get our hands on this new completely redesigned connected bracelet.
