The sports day: One year after a fatal accident: Anthoine Hubert has a minute's silence

With a few minutes of silence and its own logo, motorsport will remember Anthoine Hubert as part of the Belgian Grand Prix. The Frenchman had a fatal accident behind the high-speed sink Eau Rouge a year ago during the Formula 2 junior series race in Spa. This weekend a logo with Hubert's initials, his race number 19 and a star will be visible on all Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3 cars. Formula 2 announced that Hubert's number in the substructure of the premier class will never be reassigned.

Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc had recently spoken of a "difficult return to this track", "Anthoine will be on our minds for the whole weekend." Leclerc (22) was friends with Hubert, who died at the age of only 22.
