Many inactive bank accounts, unclaimed for decades, are registered with the Caisse des Dépôts. Since 2020, 20% has been aimed at financing associations, we are going to increase to 40%, she announced to AFP, specifying that the government would make amendments to this effect in the finance bill.
This represents nearly 20 million additional euros each year, which will be added to the more than 50 million paid each year to associations by the State within the framework of the FDVA (Fund for the development of associative life), she explains. .
This fund finances the operation or innovative projects of associations, mainly small and medium-sized. Among them, local sports associations, MJC, senior committees, etc.
At the beginning of September, associations called on the government to support the voluntary sector in mortal danger in the face of inflation and rising demand, in an article published in Libration.
The associations say they are worth it. We want to tell them that the State supports them financially and administratively, even in a context of budgetary restrictions, assures Prisca Thvenot, who receives some 200 associations on Tuesday.
Administrative simplification
A working group will be set up, including the Associative Movement and the High Council for Associative Life, to finalize administrative simplification measures by December.
At times, very small associations have the impression that they spend a lot of time responding to project calls and producing their financial statements. They tell me: +We justify our action by a financial balance sheet, not sufficiently by the concrete impact we have on the ground+, she commented.
To simplify their daily lives, the government wants to accelerate the deployment of the Guid’asso hotline network and the Le Compte Asso internet platform.
