The US stock exchanges are divided into two parts. Shortly after the starting bell the loses Dow Jones Index 0.6 percent to 29,229 points. The S&P 500 decreases by 0.4 percent. The Nasdaq composite by contrast, is 0.1 percent in the plus.
The euphoria about a corona vaccine has noticeably decreased. It's starting to dawn on investors that it will be some time before vaccination is available, says Sebastian Mackay, multi-asset fund manager at Ivesco. At the moment it looks as if the economic recovery will take a W-shape, that is, it will be interrupted by setbacks.
