A lot has happened since the last season of The Umbrella Academy. Not just that, the Hargreeves siblings back from the 1960s to a present in a parallel world have landed. But also in real life by Elliot Page, who played misfit member of the superhero hero family, Vanya Hargreeves. At that time still with his birth name Ellen Page.
In December 2020, the actor publicly stated that he is transgender and takes the first name Elliot. At the end of March 2022, Page revealed how this Reflect change in the series by posting a photo of himself in the upcoming season 3 of the Netflix superhero series.
“Meet Viktor Hargreeves,” Page wrote in captions on Twitter and Instagram. These posts were retweeted approvingly by the official Netflix accounts with the words “Welcome to the family Viktor – we’re so glad you’re here.” Industry publication Entertainment Weekly also confirms that Page’s character has also made its way into Season 3 will come out as transgender.
What to expect in Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy
That’s not the only change coming with The Umbrella Academy’s return. The team – which also includes Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (David Castañeda), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Klaus (Robert Sheehan) and Number Five (Aidan Gallagher) – spent most of Season 2 in the ’60s – years. After saving the world from the apocalyptic event they brought about in the previous season, they found their home full of unknown faces: Sparrow Academy, which seems to have taken its place in the new timeline.
Yes, there is good news: two of the Hargreeves’ dead relatives, their adoptive father Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) and their late brother Ben (Justin H. Min), are alive again. However, they are on the side of Sparrow Academy, with whom apparently is not good to eat cherries.
