The vaccine pass coupled with a negative test to access certain places?

The executive could take inspiration from our European neighbors. According to the draft law, consulted by Le Parisien, the government would consider implementing the “2G +” rule, already in place in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The French, even vaccinated, should still present a negative test to go to certain places. The Ministry of Health recognizes wanting to leave this possibility.

German-speaking countries baptized this “2G +” for “geimpft” (vaccinated) or “genesen” (cured) in German, coupled with a negative test. These two requirements are asked of people who have not yet received their booster dose, underlines Le Parisien. For others, the vaccination pass is sufficient. In Germany as in France, around 40% of the population would have received a booster dose of the anti-Covid vaccine.

This double security could only concern certain places open to the public. “This is a good measure, which should be targeted as a priority on the places most at risk. It’s like when we recommend that people get tested before Christmas to find out if they are positive before finding their families, even if they are vaccinated, “insists epidemiologist Antoine Flahault, director of the Institute for Global Health in Geneva.

For the moment, we do not know which places could be affected by this measure, even if Antoine Flahault advances “bars, restaurants, nightclubs, fitness clubs, TGVs”. In Germany, for example, the following are affected by the “2G +” rule: theaters, cinemas, sporting events, or even private tours in closed spaces.
