As Sky recently announced, Sky Studios is working on three original series that will be created in Germany. One of them is “Heligoland 513”. This is not a zombie series, but it should be interesting for TWD fans: Here, too, the action is set in a post-apocalyptic world where everyone has to fight for their survival.
In the year 2034, the North Sea island of Helgoland is the last safe place for humanity after a global apocalypse. However, only 513 people are allowed to live there, who are also evaluated according to their “usefulness” due to the lack of resources. On the mainland, a dangerous force is preparing to conquer the island.
The new series will start filming later this year. Directed by Robert Schwentke (“Der Hauptmann”, “RED”), who is also co-author of the screenplay.
