The Walking Dead: World Beyond: This is what the second "Walking Dead" offshoot has to offer

"Walking Dead: World Beyond" will start on Amazon Prime Video on October 2nd. What can fans of the other two zombie series expect?

Yes, it has to be: the zombies just can't be killed. After "The Walking Dead", which had been on TV for ten seasons, the spin-off "Fear the Walking Dead" was not over – even for six seasons. On October 2nd, three days earlier than originally planned, another zombie offshoot will be released on Amazon Prime Video with "The Walking Dead: World Beyond". That still awaits not over-saturated fans of the walking dead.

It's all about this:

In "World Beyond" a new world order is shown that has established itself after the all-changing zombie apocalypse. Ten years after the eruption that wiped out much of humanity or turned it into flesh-eating undead, a new generation is growing up for whom zombies are the most normal thing in the world.

So also the unequal siblings Iris (Aliyah Royale, 20) and Hope (Alexa Mansour, 24), the daughters of the scientist Leo Bennett (Joe Holt, 50). He has still not given up hope for a cure for the zombie virus and continues to research tirelessly. When he no longer gives any sign of life after a trip to New York City, his children, accompanied by some friends, set out to investigate the matter.

How is it all related?

"The Walking Dead: World Beyond" is a road trip across the zombie-infested apocalypse, at the center of which are young main characters. The fact that the series is set ten years after the outbreak is also important for the other series from the "Walking Dead" universe. The original arrived in a similar period of time in season ten, as was "Fear The Walking Dead" in season six. A working cure could solve the immediate problems of all survivors of the three series in one fell swoop …

Despite "World Beyond", zombie entertainment is not guaranteed for the years to come. In contrast to the two big series brothers, offshoot number two should end again after two seasons with ten episodes each. That may be bad news for some. With a clear goal in mind, on the other hand, there is no long-winded journey into narrative nowhere.
