The best thing about the cold season? We can finally get our favorite coats out again and wear them with a clear conscience. The real styling wonders go with every outfit and give even the simplest looks an extra dose of elegance. We have selected five models for you that can really be worn by everyone and should not be missing in any wardrobe.
The classic among coats: the wool coat
You know and love it: In autumn and winter you can’t avoid the classic wool coat. Whether in timeless brown, in eye-catching colors or in checkered patterns – the wool coat is always worth an investment. With its timeless elegance, it goes with all outfits and enhances every look.
Tamara von Nayhauß shows us how the coat is worn while walking her dog. She combines the eye-catching garment in red and blue checked pattern with beige jogging pants, light-colored sneakers and a simple sweater. The restrained outfit directs the main focus on the elegant coat – we like!
Coat with historical origins: the trench coat
The trench coat was designed by fashion designer Thomas Burberry in the 1850s and originally served as a raincoat for the British Army. In the meantime it has become an absolute classic in the fashion world and has found a permanent place in our wardrobes. Over the years, the trench coat has also changed in terms of its appearance: In addition to the classic beige-colored variant, there are models in an oversize look, in pastel colors or with modern patterns. What remains: the double-row button placket and the attached buckles. But no matter which version of the trench is worn, it is an absolute styling all-rounder. Depending on the occasion, it can be elegantly combined with high heels or sporty with sneakers.
British influencer Meg Helm shows us a styling variant of the beige classic: She combines the long trench coat with a short knitted dress. Together with black overknee boots, the outfit is suitable for autumn and can also be worn on cold days.
Homage to the 90s: the leather coat
The leather jacket is an absolute basic item – probably every one of us has at least one hanging in our closet. Alternatively, how about a longer variant? The leather coat is also a timeless IT piece and should not be missing in any wardrobe. He gained fame especially in the 90s through the cult film ” Matrix ” and has since experienced its fashionable revival again and again.
The all-black look, as shown by designer Emy Venturini, makes your leather coat look particularly cool and wicked. If you like it a little more comfortable, you can use jeans and soft sweaters when combining.
Perfect for particularly cold days: the down coat
Down coats not only keep us cozy and warm on particularly cold days, they also ensure that we are fashionably dressed in icy temperatures. We are particularly impressed by the XXL models. In order to preserve your silhouette in the voluminous coats, you should opt for tighter cuts for the rest of the outfit.
Blogger Barbara Urban shows how it is done: She wears a light down coat in combination with a monochrome look in light blue. The fresh colors ensure a stylish eye-catcher even on rainy days.
Last but not least: the parka
The parka is also a classic among coats and an indispensable part of the fashion world. Due to the mostly olive green color, the robust materials and the wide cuts, the parka is reminiscent of the military look and makes a comfortable, casual impression. These properties make it look good, especially with sporty outfits. We were particularly impressed by the style break with feminine cuts: Pieces with ruffles, lace or flounces loosen up the strict look of the parka and create fashionable contrasts. The brave among you can go one step further and convert the parka: The Italian dancer Klaudia Pepa wears her parka as a dress and combines it with red accessories. If you want to re-style the look, you should opt for a long cut when choosing a parka to avoid unwanted glimpses.
