The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on September 19, 2022 will be remembered. They started at the end of the morning and we were able to attend several tribute ceremonies. The Queen’s coffin was thus moved from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey and was then followed by Charles III, his two brothers and his sister, then Princes William and Harry. The ceremony then began in the Abbey and we could see Meghan Markle arriving alone as well as Kate Middleton who got out of a car with Camilla, the new queen consort and her two elders Charlotte and George dressed in blue.

If the two children have been filmed and photographed many times, a scene of the 9-year-old prince has been censored… The one where he scratches his nose! Indeed, the British royal family wants to preserve its image. Other scenes can never be broadcast again at the request of the family, such as the moment when the queen’s crown was removed from the coffin. The image of the coffin descending into the vault was also almost censored.

Apart from this scene of Prince George, the two children of Kate Middleton were particularly well behaved during the funeral. They were both very chic and stood up straight. Charlotte wore a mid-length black coat on which she had a diamond chavel iron brooch to pay homage to her great-grandmother. She had, moreover, a black hat with a ribbon, just like her mother.

As for George, he wore a blue suit with a white shirt and tie. We were thus able to see the two children greet several guests before following the coffin with their parents and Meghan Markle without making any missteps. They then settled down to follow the ceremony always in calm and they adopted this attitude all day.
