fun, news, tips… what else?

Forget the big retro curlers that you heat up to do your hair! A new inexpensive styling accessory is a hit on TikTok as it promises heat-free mermaid hair waves.

If until then we fell for mermaid waves thanks to wavers – new generation curlers specially designed to draw notched buckles in our lengths – TikTok today reveals an alternative without heat with a new kind of curlers – sorts of notched flexible tubes – which promise to damage our hair less. So of course, we take note!

It’s on behalf of Sara Saadia, a TikTokeuse eager for beauty news, that we discovered them. In her video, which today has 1.5 million likes, the influencer tests these famous soft curlers from the Willbond brand that we can find on Amazon for just under 20 euros, and she gets a rather satisfying wavy hairstyle. Thanks to their original spiral shape, these buzzing hair accessories print notched waves in your locks without you needing to subject them to the heat of a hair dryer. A godsend for adopting the latest wavy trend of the moment, water wavesif you use them the night before and let the ripples loosen up a bit over the hours.

How to use Willbond curlers?

Designed to be put in place then kept all night in the hair, these curlers do not however look comfortable according to the influencer who confides that they exert pressure on the scalp once posed. This is why we advise you to wear them for a long time but not at night. Easy to use, they are applied to wet hair:

  • Take a strand of damp hair and slip it into one of the spiral curlers using the hook provided with the curlers which allows you to insert it easily into the tube.
  • Do the same all over your head, working strand by strand.
  • Let your hair dry, keeping the curlers in place for several hours.
  • Take them out and admire your notched curls!
