The house, a priori, nothing more secure and comfortable for an intimate moment. Not necessarily … Research has shown that having sex at home can lead to more accidents than you think. Here is the classification of the parts presenting the most risks.

While the bed is still the most common place to have sex, sex can be practiced anywhere (or at least, wherever it's legal). Couples do not lack imagination to make love in unusual places. But nothing beats the comfort of your apartment. Moreover, a recent survey revealed that everyday objects make the French fantasize, from the washing machine to the shower head via voice assistants. And yet sex at home can be far more dangerous than you think … End of Tenancy Cleaning London surveyed 2,397 people of both sexes and the results are clear: 89% of men and 49% of the women questioned admit to having hurt themselves or having hurt their partner during their lovemaking. A quick overview of the most risky rooms in the house.

1. The bathroom

There would be no more dangerous place than the bathroom to have sex: according to the survey, 91% of people injure themselves during a hot shower with their partner. It must be said that with water, it is not uncommon to slip and bump into something. Risky, no doubt, but clearly also a must, as a total of 75% of people said they thought it was the most common place to have sex.

2. The kitchen

The kitchen is one of the most popular rooms during lovemaking for 69% of respondents. But between knives, dishes and hot plates, it is also one of the most dangerous. 86% of people questioned say they have already hurt themselves while having sex in the kitchen.

3. The living room

In third place, we find more surprisingly the living room. The sofa may be comfortable for chilling in front of Netflix, it is not necessarily so for making love. Unless it's the dining table's fault? In all cases, 75% of respondents admit to having experienced some accidents in this living room.

4. The bedroom

Not surprisingly, the bed is the most popular place for somersaults. But stranger, 72% of participants said they injured themselves in their bedroom during sex.

The rest of the ranking:

5. The attic
6. The dining room
7. The office
8. The garage
9. The basement
10. The cellar
