These Warzone players have a handicap on Good Fortune

On console, many Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific players rage that they suffer a major disadvantage when playing on the Good Fortune map.

Bonne Fortune (also called Fortune’s Keep) has clearly become a very popular map with the Warzone community, but this new island seems to put console players in an uncomfortable position when dueling.

Warzone Pacific Season 4 added the Good Fortune map and you can find plenty of points of interest and secrets there for a whole new Call of Duty battle royale experience. Lots of people are already having a lot of fun on this map, but console players have noticed that close combat is extremely difficult for them.

The silver mining event will take place on Good Fortune.

On Reddit, user “FilthySaiyan” explained that this new map is really fun, but the limited FOV of console players puts them way too much at a disadvantage compared to those on PC who have a potentially much higher field of view.

The higher your FOV (Field Of View) is, the more you will be able to see what is happening around you. On PC, you can crank it up to 120 while console players are stuck at 80.

“I love the new map, but as a console player you get screwed over by the FOV even more than on other maps. Since it’s all about close combat, that’s really a liability. I still won games with lots of kills where I had fun, but how can console players combat their lack of FOV on such a dynamic map?”

In any case, console players on PlayStation and Xbox will still be at a disadvantage compared to those on PC, but the limited FOV blocks them even more. Maybe things will change when Warzone 2.0 arrives in a few months…
