Thierry Mugler: Bella Hadid, Diana Ross…Celebrities pay tribute to the creator

Thierry Mugler died on Sunday at the age of 73. Very saddened by the disappearance of the famous designer, many personalities wanted to pay tribute to the one who had reigned over the fashion of the 1980s, and still continued to dress the stars with his sophisticated outfits with hyper-structured silhouettes.

“I can’t believe this is true, sending love to you all. Thierry was a force of creativity and kindness, ”commented Georgia May Jagger, with a broken heart emoji. “Nonononono”, reacted Bella Hadid, while Brigitte Nielsen wrote: “Such an icon. Incredibly sad”. “You have changed our perception of beauty. (…) Your legacy is something I carry with me in everything I do,” Mugler’s creative director, American Casey Cadwallader, wrote on Instagram.

Singer Diana Ross shared a photo with the French designer on Twitter at one of his shows in Paris in 1990, captioning: “I will miss you, Thierry Mugler, it was a wonderful time in our lives”.

“Rest in peace, Thierry Mugler,” wrote singer Beyonce, alongside a black and white photo of the designer.

“I remember being so struck by my meeting with Thierry Mugler. What he could have seen in a skinny 16-year-old to the point of letting her parade on his catwalk in the middle of top models remains a mystery to me, but it was the experience of a lifetime, “recalls the actress Diane Kruger.

“Today we lost another titan of the fashion industry,” regrets model Coco Rocha.

On Instagram, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian also shared their grief upon hearing the sad news. Kourtney shared a photo of her sisters, Khloe, Kim, Kylie and Kendall, and their mother, Kris, all dressed in Mugler designs.

Despite the deep sadness … it’s a chance to have known him, ”wrote Chantal Thomas on Instagram.

“Gone too soon… The God of fashion… A gentle, genuine, kind man. We will miss you,” said Irina Shayk, while Linda Evangelista, one of the great couturier’s muses, contented herself with the letters “RIP” on Instagram.

Former reality TV star Cindy Sander is also mourning the death of her mentor Thierry Mugler, who took her under his wing after her humiliation on La Nouvelle Star in 2008. “Today my heart is heavy, you you were my star, the one who believed in me when no one else believed. My loving dad. You transformed me, gave me an incredible chance to get on the most beautiful stage in Europe. You were my pillar. You have changed my life. And today you join the stars. I say a big thank you again. For everything you have done for me, ”posted the young woman.
