A LUDI brand baby development game is being recalled. In question ? Small parts contained in the box can detach easily and cause respiratory arrest if swallowed.

When you are a parent, it is important to pay attention to the toys that you buy for your children, especially those for toddlers. In general, they must be adapted to the age of the child and meet very specific safety standards. Unfortunately, it very often happens that toys have manufacturing defects and are dangerous for the health of the youngest. This is the case of a product that was recalled a few weeks ago by the government site Drink reminder.

This is an early learning game for children: the Picotons box from the French brand LUDI. This first-age construction kit, offered to toddlers over 10 months old, presents a very serious danger and for good reason. Some triangle-shaped modules have at their tops small pimples which can easily come off. If ingested by a young child, it may cause respiratory arrest. Another element, transparent containing small colored balls, also seems potentially dangerous. “Although all the tests carried out on the transparent module part containing balls have been declared compliant, as a precaution, this part will also be exchanged”says the toy giant.

According to the references provided by the Rappel Conso site, the product concerned by the recall is part of the lot 471621 and wear it barcode EAN 355083300855.

This toy was available for sale in many stores across France such as Kingtoy, Oxybul, Jouéclub, Sajou and La Grande Récrée. Authorities are asking consumers who bought it to stop using the product and of destroy the 4 triangles and the transparent module of the box. They must then contact the brand’s after-sales service by email, at the following address [email protected], in order to exchange the parts.

You can also bring it directly to the point of sale to request a refund. However, be careful, you have until June 25, 2022 to make the claim.
