Comedian Marion Baousson was inspired by these interactive books to offer Internet users a site that could occupy them for a long time during confinement. Obviously, she baptized him "The containment of which you are the hero or the heroine" and to have tested it, we tell you that we can stay there for hours. You just have to click to choose what action to do and see the consequences what it will have, it's like a huge tree with multitudes of branches. Marion Baousson explains the concept to us: "You create your own story, and you choose what you will do next in confinement. What amused me about this idea is that there is nowhere to go. I thought it would turn out more quick in circles… But it's fascinating to see that there are already codes and clichés linked to confinement, and also to see how quickly things can be missing. "
The most interesting thing about this interactive game is that Marion Baoussan has managed to make it a genderless platform: "I also wanted the site to be gender-neutral, everything is in inclusive writing, besides it was complicated to realize that even the title of the genre 'of which you are the hero' does not include women… "
The site also allows you to discover new and diverse things: "The site refers to some associations, and also, I admit, sometimes to videos of my work, because hey, I might as well advertise myself! And like any site in this genre, I hid a confinement exit, and there are easter eggs… " It is therefore a real gold mine that Marion has achieved with this website. But how did this idea land in his imagination? She admits having no idea: "I was in my kitchen and I said 'it would be funny to make a containment of which you are the hero' … Suddenly, I took lots of sheets and I started to write what went through my What was hard was finding a way to lay it out, it didn't make any sense. I think I did the worst Excel painting in the history of Excel painting. "
True teamwork
This platform, it was not made thanks to a single person. Marion Bassouan called on Elisa, with whom she is confined and who, above all, is a developer: "She worked nonstop, and so did I. After a week, we were able to release this site!" As for the little music that you hear when you visit the site, it is Marion Bassouan's brother, Romain, who composed it for the occasion: "I love it because it really makes 90s video game music" But that's not all. The pretty images that can be seen on the platform are made by Juliette Poney, illustrator and graphic designer: "I'm really happy because I really like what she does, and she is always ready to help, and full of ideas …"
This teamwork brought a lot to Marion who was able to take the time to learn a lot. Not only did she do a bit of code with Elisa but in addition, she had to verify her statements before publishing them on the platform: "I wrote the part on the nursing staff after a conversation with the sister of Elisa who is a nurse with mercy pity, the passage on the people who still go to the office with my sister who is a banker and has to go to work in agency anyway … I read articles. In fact I learned a lot, it was quite interesting! " This confinement was really not useless for the young humorist.
Creative confinement
In the end, Marion decided to combine the useful and the pleasant. As an artist, creating is very important to her and, at a time when you have to show imagination, she had to push the limits of her ideas: "At the moment there is crazy creativity, some are imposing a very important rhythm, and it is complicated not to do something that has not already been done. I spend my time having doubts about this that I produce, but surprisingly here I did not doubt too much. " On these beautiful words, she explains simply and humbly that she wanted to allow people "to be busy for 10 minutes."
