This Disney+ series is a hit and it’s perfect for the holidays!

Adapted from the children’s literary saga, the series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is a great success on the Disney+ platform. A nice revenge on the films released in the cinema.

Successful return for Percy Jackson. Already adapted for cinema in 2010 and 2013, without achieving great success with fans, the literary saga became a series for the Disney+ platform and the public was there for it. Six days after it was posted online, the first two episodes posted online were viewed by 13.3 million subscribers.

These figures allow the series to enter the podium of the best launches on the Disney+/Hulu platforms in 2023. For comparison, the first episode of Ahsoka, the Star Wars series, was viewed by 14 million subscribers for five days after its release. Percy Jackson is below, but it is important to remember that the series is aimed at a more specific audience – mainly young people.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians stands out from the two film adaptations with the involvement of author Rick Riordan who produced, co-wrote the first two episodes and supervised the entire series. The result speaks for itself: the critical and public response is much better, particularly from the community of fans who are delighted to see that the program is much more faithful to the novels.

The other episodes of Percy Jackson will be released weekly on the platform. The series is available on Disney+.
