The Chinese brand Onemile is preparing a new scooter with double suspension, a double motor, two Tektro hydraulic brakes, and even a removable battery.
We told you a few days ago about the madness of suspended electric scooters, with the revelation of the new Yadea. Now another manufacturer is planning such a model, although less official.
It was through a patent that we discovered the more than supposed future Onemile electric scooter. The Chinese manufacturer was more focused on electric bikes and balance bikes, and only had an S8 scooter with a removable battery in its catalog. Precisely, the next machine also seems to have a removable battery, but this time with a more classic position in the deck where we note an opening.
The patent does not give very precise characteristics. We still notice the presence of two engines, one at the front, the other at the rear. Enough, we imagine, to offer a high nominal power – but with a limited speed of 25 km/h if it wants to be marketed in France. The structure also benefits from a double spring suspension, and two Tektro disc brakes.
The levers that we seem to identify disguise a handlebar reminiscent of that of a bicycle: it seems wide, curved, with ergonomic handles and equipped with a height/angle adjustable stem. There are numerous cables there, because indicators are added to the equipment, also visible around the rear light.
A lot to expect on this suspended scooter, financially too
The Onemile electric scooter does not innovate in terms of its wheels, which would be 10 inches, with all-terrain air tires. If the light blue/orange Gulf racing car set will not please everyone, its handle located at the end of the deck will help you carry it with you.
Considering the benefits, this suspended scooter will not drop below 25-30 kg. As for the price, it’s still a little early, but don’t expect less than 1,500 euros considering the equipment. Availability, whether in terms of date or country, is still to be defined.
