The Star Wars Outlaws release date announcement has never been closer, and now it leaves almost no doubt. At least, if we rely on this crucial new clue.
The Star Wars franchise still has its say in the video game sphere. When we say that, we think of titles like Fallen Order or its sequel Jedi Survivor, but not only that. We are also waiting for Outlaws, the opus signed by Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment. This action-adventure game promises to be a great gem, even if we don’t yet know its release date. The latter is the subject of many rumors, but given what we have just learned, it will normally soon be revealed in broad daylight.
Star Wars Outlaws gets a new rating
To fully understand why we say this, we need to go back in time a few days. Star Wars Outlaws received a 19+ rating from the Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) in South Korea. To give you an idea, this is comparable to an M (Mature) rating by the ESRB in the United States or PEGI 18 in France. You might say, “All this excitement about this? ”, but there is good reason to get excited. For good reason, age rankings are often assigned shortly before the launch of the games.
And we hope that Star Wars Outlaws will not deviate from the rule. Especially since it has now also been rated by the Australian classification committee. Unsurprisingly, it earned an M for Mature, which is similar to the rating obtained in South Korea. Clearly, the clues are piling up. Will we finally get the announcement of the release date? Obviously, that could be true. Moreover, that would fit with the rumors which speak of an arrival for the first half of 2024. But hey, when in doubt, we will avoid moving too quickly, to avoid disillusionment.
In any case, such a classification for Star Wars Outlaws reveals several things to us. The game could contain some blood, perhaps some nudity, but also some pretty serious themes. Afterwards, which ones, we don’t know exactly. As for the story, it will put us in the shoes of Kay Vess, who is not a Jedi, but a crook accompanied by her trusty blaster. As a reminder, the events of the story take place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. On the program, infiltration, combat on earth or in space, multiple choice dialogues, in short, there will be plenty to do.
