The famous British director was invited to test the video capabilities of the latest Samsung Galaxy 23 Ultra.
This new terminal is the smartphone of superlatives, and the Asian brand spent a lot of time, during its Galaxy Unpacked event, praising the progress made by its teams in photography and video.

With its multiple rear sensors, including the presence of an all-new 200-megapixel main sensor, further improved quality for photos and videos taken in low light conditions as well as 8K resolution at 30 frames per second, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra wants to be the best mobile camera for individuals, but also professionals.
Many clips were presented on stage, but Samsung decided to hit even harder by inviting a confirmed director to take the latest smartphone to test it in situation, on a film set.

A camera more gifted than it seems on a set
The story of Behold is almost a pretext. A young man is chased by a group of people, finds refuge in a garage and comes across a horse that seems trapped. On a voice-over probably inspiring for some, the man frees the horse that we see at the end galloping against the backdrop of the setting sun.
The short film is much more interesting if we analyze the rather very correct visual quality offered by the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung also shared behind the scenes of this little film, and obviously, Ridley Scott did not film alone and without equipment. As we can see, the man has brought in his director of photography and a small technical team, and is filming with suitable equipment for stabilization.
In the making of, Ridley Scott also emphasizes the versatility of the device, even if the options offered by its cameras are not as extensive as those offered by a multi-thousand-dollar digital camera. They are nevertheless sufficient to obtain a cinematographic result.
