Interviewed by the magazine whowhatwearhairstylist Emma Vickery confirms that “the grungecore trend was a big hit this season“. Directly inspired by this trend, the short grunge cut displays a “fact” and a little more length on the top of the head and the nape of the neck, which requires relatively little maintenance. In addition, it has the advantage of being quite pretty when regrown, easily transforming into a bob cut when the hair gains a little length.

This styled/disheveled effect also has the advantage of adding a lot of volume to the hair, unlike very smooth and very graphic styling which can tend not to highlight thinning hair.
How to get this grunge effect on short hair?
The gradient work brings volume and substance to this short cut. But to obtain this aerial effect, it is strongly recommended to use texturizing products. The ideal: a volumizing spray at the roots and a texturizing wax (light enough not to weigh down the hair fiber) on the lengths. To fix the movement, do not hesitate to add a veil of lacquer as a finish.
