After his spontaneous engagement, Thomas Gottschalk will not be hiring for “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” in the long term.

The 18th season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” has barely been history when many are asking: Who will succeed the chief juror Dieter Bohlen (67, “Brother Louie”), who left the company prematurely? The most obvious solution: entertainer Thomas Gottschalk (70), who stood in for the sick Bohlen at the two finals shows. But nothing will come of it.

About a possible future at the RTL casting show said Gottschalk the “Bild” newspaper: “My appearance on” DSDS “ended with the finale.” The contributions of all participants are “very noteworthy”, but he is out of the number. “It’s more Götterdämmerung than a titan fight anyway,” Gottschalk added.

The fired Bohlen had taken sick leave from “DSDS” after it became known that he was leaving. Gottschalk spontaneously stepped in for him in the semifinals on March 27th and in the final on April 3rd.
