Their manufacturers must have a minimum safety stock of four months. Sodium bicarbonate is prescribed for the treatment of certain poisonings and metabolic acidosis (high blood acidity). But also in addition to other drugs in the management of several chronic diseases. Lavoisier is one of the main laboratories that market this product in its injectable form. Each year, 1.5 million bottles intended for pharmacies and hospitals come out of the factory, located in the Centre-Val de Loire, of this century-old French family business. Hundreds of thousands of patients use it every year.
