Three injured – skiing accidents call for the Carinthian emergency services

Tuesday was particularly busy for the rescue teams from the “RK1”, “Alpin 1” and “ARA3” helicopters. Three injured skiers had to be flown to the hospital.

Shortly after 1 p.m., a 45-year-old Croatian fell on the Gerlitzen when descending from the Klösterle. The holidaymaker suffered serious injuries in the left leg area. After medical first aid by the slope ambulance, the 45-year-old was flown by the rescue helicopter “Alpin 1” to the hospital in Villach. Skiers collided with snowboarders A short time later there was another skiing accident on the Gerlitzen. A German (36) and a 52-year-old Viennese collided in the area of ​​​​a runway crossing. The Viennese was unharmed in the accident. The 36-year-old German had to be flown to the hospital in Villach with injuries from the “RK1” rescue helicopter. Crashed on a training ground At Nassfeld, the “ARA 3” rescue helicopter had to rush to the aid of a 43-year-old vacationer from Germany who had an accident. The woman fell on a practice field and sustained injuries to her right shoulder. The 43-year-old was flown to the hospital in Spittal.
