If a few segments have already slipped into the schedule, the big launch of this third edition of the Summer Game Fest took full advantage of its two hours of live. A lot of titles were expected, like Call of Duty Modern Warfare who had his quarter of an hour gameplaybut also street fighter 6 who came accompanied by Guile, or even The Callisto Protocol – the one not to be confused with Dead Space. Precisely, it is clear that the trend for the 2022 season is turning towards the thriller in space, with the presence of Routine, Fort Solis and Aliens: Dark Descent.
A conference whose titles were indeed grouped by theme, with the sequence of Japanese games presenting One Piece Odyssey, ZZZ Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai Star Rail from the Hoyoverse, then from the superhero game with Gotham Knights and Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The independents were more rare, but we note the presence of Cuphead: The Delicious Last Coursethe DLC scheduled for June 30, the post-apocalyptic High Water and the dystopian American Arcadia. Too bad for the host of the evening, his final bouquet for the announcement of the remake of The Last of Us on PS5 had leaked just before the conference. Between two pranks, Lâm, Puyo and Luma still took the time to debrief it all. Good viewing !
