Til Schweiger is not feeling well at all. The actor is currently being treated in a hospital in Mallorca. There he is battling serious blood poisoning.

An old injury becomes Til Schweiger, 60, apparently now doomed. The actor and director reports from the hospital bed. He does not feel good. “I’ve been receiving antibiotics in the hospital for a fortnight because I’ve had a wound on my leg since August,” he says when asked by “Bild”, and explains: “I hit my shin back then and then germs got in. Now I have I have an ‘open leg’, that’s what they call it. Unfortunately, it kept getting worse.”

Til Schweiger is cared for by his children

There is great concern for Papa Til. His children Lilli, 25, Luna, 27, and Valentin, 28, immediately traveled to the Balearic island to be by his side. The offspring’s concern seems justified. The “Keinohrhasen” star is at her health limit. “I got a fever on Thursday night.” Not good conditions, because he’s actually supposed to be checked again on Saturday, “with MRI, Doppler sonography, ultrasound,” as he says. Torture in a weakened state.

He really wants to go to New York

Nevertheless, Schweiger is combative and wants to get fit again quickly, after all, the premiere of the new Guy Ritchie film “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” is getting closer and closer. Til has a role in the film and wants to go to the performance in New York with all his might. “After that I would have to go back to the clinic straight away. I haven’t given up hope that it could work after all.” Honorable words! Sepsis should not be trifled with. Blood poisoning is caused by an infection and can even be life-threatening.

Is Til aware of the risk? Apparently not really yet. He gives the hard bone, even in the weakest times.
