Schweiger’s new film “Kurt” is also about grief and loss. He dedicated it to “the parents of Marvin, the ex-boyfriend of my daughter Luna”. “Marvin died in a car accident last year,” explains Schweiger in the interview. “Kurt” will “definitely be my most intense film,” said the actor and director. In the editing room he has “shed so many tears, even though I know the film inside and out. I actually cry every day”.

“Kurt” is the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Sarah Kuttner (42). The story is about a blended family who loses a child. Schweiger is the director and leading actor of the film and wrote the script with Vanessa Walder (43). Kuttner himself was already enthusiastic last year. She wrote about the script on Instagram: “* fans himself excitedly and crushes 2-12 tears while reading * @tilschweiger #kurt”.
