Till Lindemann will not appear in Kassel on Saturday. The Rammstein singer’s planned concert was canceled at short notice.

The controversial Rammstein singer Till Lindemann (60) was scheduled to perform at the ice rink in Kassel on November 18th as part of his solo tour. However, the planned concert had to be canceled. The organizer, MM Konzerte GmbH, announced this.

Lack of permits

The singer’s website also states that the concert has been canceled. “Lindemann is not coming to Kassel,” it says on the organizer’s homepage. We regret to have to announce “that the Till Lindemann concert planned for November 18th in the Nordhessen Arena Kassel was canceled at short notice.” The reason for the decision to cancel the concert was a lack of permits from the city of Kassel.

The approval was applied for on October 10th along with the facility plan. However, the application was apparently only processed at the beginning of November. Following a corresponding request, further documents that were requested were submitted last Tuesday. According to MM Konzerte, this also included “requirements that the organizer did not have to fulfill at all, but rather related to the structural conditions of the North Hesse Arena”.

Nevertheless, all documents were presented on Tuesday. “All of the city’s requirements were met, but the city was unable to check the documents before the event began […]”. The organizer “deeply regrets this unfortunate situation.” Ticket holders are asked to return the tickets they have already purchased to the ticket offices. The cost of the tickets will be refunded there.

Criticism of Lindemann

In the summer, reports from female fans and allegations against Lindemann caused a stir. The singer had denied all allegations. At the end of August, the Berlin public prosecutor’s office closed an investigation against Lindemann. According to a press release, this was initiated “due to complaints from third parties in connection with press reporting. The information given by witnesses in the press reporting was not confirmed by the investigation.”
