Tom Hanks: Hollywood megastar thanks corona helpers

With a somewhat strange picture and a few warm words, Tom Hanks (63, "Forrest Gump") thanked all helpers who try to contain the chaos during the Corona crisis. He published including a photo on Twitter a soft toy kangaroo, a glass of water and two toasts coated with the typical Australian yeast extract Vegemite. "Thanks to the helpers," Hanks writes. The Hollywood star further explains: "Let us take care of each other."

Quarantine in Australia

Hanks and his wife, actress Rita Wilson (63), seem to continue to do well according to the circumstances. The two had made public last week that they had been infected with the corona virus and were in quarantine. Hanks said the couple were currently in Australia.

"We felt a bit tired as if we had a cold," said Hanks on Instagram. "Rita had chills that came and went. And a slight fever. To do everything right at this time in the world, we had the corona virus tested and the result was positive."
