British actor Tom Hardy (43, "The Revenant") was cast as the lead in the new action thriller "Havoc". The project comes from screenwriter and director Gareth Evans (41, "The Raid") and is produced exclusively for Netflix. A start date is not yet known.
As a cop, he fights his way through the criminal underworld
As the US industry website "Deadline" reports, the film is about a worn-out cop who has to fight his way through the criminal underworld after a drug deal gone wrong. He is supposed to save the son of a politician while uncovering a dense network of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city.
Oscar-nominated actor Tom Hardy was last seen as gangster Alphonse Gabriel "Al" Capone (1899-1947) in "Capone" (2020). He will next appear in the role of Eddie Brock on Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas on June 24, 2021.
